This is 8notes, an online Music Theory tutorial that I use to review and to cram for theory tests. There are 46 lessons, each one accompanied with a step-by-step .gif visual and accompanying aural examples and an explanation of each concept.
Something like this is ESSENTIAL for anyone who isn't doing so hot right now in theory but doesn't have the free time or level of commitment to get a tutor. It shows and plays examples of everything, and it's just simply the bomb.
This sounds like an amazing sight especially considering the fact that I myself have suffered through Music Theory courses for a long time. I always take too much time studying for even the smallest quiz and I still end up not doing as great as I thought I might. I don't have a lot of time for a tutor so I'll have to check out this sight.
ReplyDeleteThis is pretty cool. I had a difficult time navigating the site at first, but once I figured it out it wasn't too bad. I used these as reviews for my theory quiz last Monday and they were great! I didn't have worksheets or anything to review so going to a new place teaching it in a different way than my professor was a great way to know I really understood. Thanks for sharing, can't wait to see it's uses in the future :)
